This limited guarantee covers only the puppy described in this agreement and is between seller and buyer, and is non-transferable in whole or part. Seller and Buyer certify by signing this bill of sale that this dog is not sold for resale purposes. This dog is sold as a companion only (unless full registration is agreed upon), and Limited CKC Registration papers will be presented to the buyer after receiving a copy of puppy's spay/or neuter certificate. No papers will be provided if puppy was sold non-registered.
This puppy is guaranteed to be of good health and free of communicable diseases. Seller guarantees that all age appropriate shots and dewormings have been given and a record of this history is supplied. However puppies are not fully immune until vaccination series is complete. Please take precautions and be careful and watchful of your new puppy. Do not take puppy to dog parks, pet stores or public places which could have been contaminated by sick dogs. To activate guarantee, Buyer must have the puppy examined by a licensed Veterinarian within 3 business days from the date of sale or delivery. If puppy is found to be unhealthy within the 72 hours period, Seller must be notified. A copy from the vet with full description of the illness is required. Puppy must be returned to the breeder and will be replaced with a puppy of equal value of same gender, color, pattern if one is available. If one is not available, breeder agrees to replace the puppy with one of equal value out of a future litter.
By signing this contract, the Buyer agrees that he/she inspected the puppy and the puppy appears to be healthy.
Just like humans, dogs get sick and injured. Once puppy leaves my home, I have no control over puppies upbringing, the type of food they eat, games they play, how they are handled, how many flight of stairs they climb, the height of the couches they jump off etc. All of these activities can have detrimental affects on a dachshund's health. NOT all injuries, sicknesses or back problems are genetic.
Health insurance plans are strongly recommended to help you cover the costs of unexpected vet bills. No vet bills will be refunded at any time for any reason. Buyer assumes full responsibility and 100% of all costs and care of the dog after sale. I am not responsible for any Veterinary bills, surgeries, or partial help with cost of surgeries etc.
Breeder does not cover for hypoglycemia, any internal parasite (Coccidia, Giardia, worms, fleas, ticks, ear mites, physical or emotional stress) once the puppy leaves our home. No refund will be given for any of these as they are not covered by this contract. They can also spread via contact, air, hands, clothing. We also do not guarantee against hernias or alopecia (hair loss in dilutes) as there can be many factors regarding the cause of those.
Breeder guarantees the health of the said puppy from debilitating life threatening hereditary defects by 12 months of age. If the puppy is found to have a life threatening hereditary disease or the said dog dies, the puppy will be replaced with a pup of equal value. No monetary refunds will be given. A letter from a licensed Veterinarian must be sent to my Vet and to me. If the dog dies, a Necropsy must be performed at the Buyers expense to prove the death was from a hereditary or genetic condition. Seller agrees to replace puppy within a reasonable time (2 years).
Changing your mind, family dispute, landlord problems does not warrant a refund. Please make sure you are ready for a puppy and the commitment of owning one.
This guarantee will also become null and void due to any injury or neglect regardless or whether accidental or intentional to the puppy or dog, such as but not limited to, accidents, falls, drops, drowning, choking, any type of poisoning, dehydration, heat exhaustion, heat stroke, hypothermia, freezing, crushing, being attacked by other animal (wild or domestic) endangerment due to a child or children (supervised or not), fire/flames or by-product thereof, explosion, concussion, surgery, anesthesia, broken bone(s), convulsions, seizure, stroke, bee/wasp or other type of poisonous stings, plant poisoning, drug overdose or reaction thereof ( legal or illegal, canine or human or ANY other kind), kicking, throwing, hitting with something (rock, stick, bottle) etc., starvation, poor food diet, suffocation, auto or other vehicular accident, abandonment, limited abandonment, left in vehicle alone, cruel or inhumane living conditions and/or shelter, all while in Buyer's possession, care of, responsibility of care due to ownership, not necessarily physical "possession"
No guarantee whether written or implied, the adult size on any puppy sold. Food, diet, exercise, age and metabolism of each animal are different and have a direct impact on the adult "maintenance" weight. Also can't guarantee coat color, coat length, eye color, nose/pad/nail color, temperament, or ability to be used for show or breeding purposes at the time of purchase or as an adult.
Puppies are sold as pets, companions. Not all puppies will be registered. If you purchased your puppy with Limited CKC Non-breeding Registration CKC papers will be supplied once we receive proof that your dachshund has been spayed/neutered. If you require full CKC registration, it has to be agreed upon at the time of application for the said puppy. Under no circumstance is Seller guaranteeing future breed ability of your puppy.
Buyer agrees to be a responsible dog owner and continue the care needed for the dog to be safe and healthy. Buyer is responsible for all costs and care of the dog after sale and during the span of his/her ownership.
Buyer agrees that if the time arises that the Buyer can no longer provide a home for the puppy, the seller must be contacted. Seller will be offered first chance of taking puppy back or help re-homing said puppy/dog. No money will be refunded.
Buyer agrees that he/she understand this contract fully, and once signed this contract is binding and enforceable in court if it is broken. All disputes shall be settle in the Province of British Columbia in the Victoria jurisdiction and Buyer will be responsible for all legal fees incurred.
All information contained within this contract and information about the animal to be purchased, we affirm that the information provided in this document and pertaining to this transactions is true to be best of Seller's knowledge and belief.
